BioStar 1 - How to activate the SE Software License

Some functions such as attendance reports, fire zones and anti-passback are not available within the free BioStar version. The free version is also limited to a maximum of 20 scanners and after that you need the paid BioStar SE version of the software.

The SE version can be activated by adding a license code to your existing BioStar environment. This article will show you how to retrieve a site code to generate a license and how to activate your SE license after that. 
  • Install BioStar 1.62 or greater.
  • Run the C:\Program Files\BioStar\Server\Support\CrypKey License Service\SetupEx.exe file.
  • Open the BioStar Server Config 
  • Right click on the menu bar and you will see an option 'License'. 
  • Please click the button License and a new pop-up will appear. 
  • Please write down the site code and send it to support@easysecure.nl 
Based on the site code we will prepare a BioStar SE License for you. We will send back a 'Site Key' which can be added in the same popup:
  • Open the BioStar Server Config 
  • Right click on the menu bar and you will see an option 'License'. 
  • Please click the button License and a new pop-up will appear. 
  • Please fill in the 'Site Key' you received and click 'Validate'. 
  • Restart your BioStar server software and the SE License is succesfully activated.
